Pop-Up Graphic Medicine Book Group

Pop-Up Graphic Medicine Book Group

Join Cranston Public Library and OneCranston Health Equity Zone for this pop-up Graphic Medicine book group! We will read and discuss Can't We Talk About Something More Pleasant by Roz Chast. In this graphic memoir, Chast brings her signature wit to the topic of aging parents. Spanning the last several years of their lives and told through four-color cartoons, family photos, and documents, and a narrative as rife with laughs as it is with tears, Chast's memoir is both comfort and comic relief for anyone experiencing the life-altering loss of elderly parents.

We will be joined by a panel of experts to offer resources and answer questions about caring for aging family members.

This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited. Registration is required. To register click the button below or contact the library for assistance. Copies of the book will be available to pick up at the Central Library Circulation Desk.
